Boycotting Elsevier

I said I would do it; and I am doing it. I wonder how many of these letters they are receiving and what they are thinking about that.

  1. I admire your strong, brave position in this affair. Unfortunately I cannot do the same, and I guess that many like me are in the same position.

    1. Why cannot you do the same, do you fear reprisals?

  2. Well. I must say that I felt strange in sending that message to Elsevier. It was as if I had desecrated some kind of solemn temple of knowledge. But the ancient Gods are dead - no fear of their dark curses

  3. Bravo!

It will take quite a few strong spines like yours before we can topple those who have erected a paywall between publicly financed research and the public.

    Well done!
